I've seen numerous questions on here about what should be done to them, is it justice, did they have it coming. Why will people refuse to believe terrorists mean to do us harm, but presume an American Soldier is automatically guilty because the media splashes a story on the internet before there are any facts to substantiate it whatsoever.

Because the media is having limited success in demoralizing the American people. So they wish to demoralize the military and get more of them killed.

They do this by trying to get them put on trial for doing their job. Then, in the future, military will hesitate more, and more get killed. So under these impossible conditions, some members of the military will not re-enlist. Additionally, the added death-toll will give the media more foder to deride the effort in Iraq.

the media likes to portray US soldiers as bloodthirsty savages because they want us out of Iraq. but their logic makes no sense. they condemn their own nation and the presidency for being in Iraq and watching terrorists through their money and phone calls. then when something like 9/11 happens they freak out and blame the government for not doing enough. i don't agree with some of president bush's ideas but the media is so totally bigoted and partisan to one point of view.
But if they really did rape and murder someone they should be punished. they should have a trial and everything because thats US law.

We should punish them when maniacal beheading terrorists get punished - which doesn't happen. Our soldiers get captured, tortured, then killed. Those jerks who do that to them don't get caught and punished by their government. They're freely roaming around still, free to kill again.

I say hold off on punishment until the job in the MidEast is taken care of. Let our soldiers treat them the way they treat us and this war will be over a lot sooner.

Whether they did it or not, it is unjust to make presumptions to if one is guilty or not guilty of an act or crime. Media is just a poor and unjustified source of validation. To answer your q, yes they should have a trial before we execute them.

the reason why a trial was created is to lay out all the available facts.
so if we wrongfully execute some1 no good can come of that
