My friends say hes not my type bc hes a skater..wears tight tight pants. But i really like him and i guess they dont understand it. Im not into skating at all. Im more of a preppy ghetto girl and i dont know what to do..should i stay his g/f or should i break it off bc of my friends?

Remember the song Sk8r Boi by Avril Lavigne? The point is, just because he's into something that you're not, try to see the person inside. Is he a good guy? Does he treat you well? Does he respect you? Respect has to go both ways? Follow your heart, not your friends opinions. Don't be a sheep just following the crowd. Make your own decisions.

Never decide to leave someone cause of your friends. You follow your own heart, not theirs. Just because you don't get into the skating thing, doesn't mean that you and him won't make a great couple. The skating thing may be a fad......maybe he'll grow out of it. What you need to be concerned about is what is he planning on doing with his life. What are his and your long term plans? Does it look like he's gonna mature and eventually be a good husband and father? These are all things that you'll eventually need to consider. Your friends can't pick this for you. If your friends refuse to be your friends because of who you date, then they're shallow and don't deserve your friendship. Best of luck to you.........

I definetly believe that the person you picture yourself with is nothing like the person who is going to steal your heart....
I am pretty much a ray of sunshine and my wardrobe doesn't have much black in it my boyfriend on the other hand is this heavy metal long haired has chains and tatoos all over the place
has 36 piercings just outrageous person and with time i have found a way for us not to look soo offbeat. I even where black nailpolish now and have black leather wrist bands and such but my ray of sun always comes through people always tell me I make gothic and tough look so cute. my point being as long as your comfortable with him who cares what the world thinks
there not the ones that are going to be with him you are. and i am a strong believer in the fact that the person you picture yourself with is not the person who is going to steal your heart.
Don't ever break anything off because of your friends.they should still be there for you regardless

if your friends really cared about you then they wouldn't suggest that you break up with him simply because he is a skater. what does it matter anyway? sounds to me like you really need to find some new friends, they obviously don't care about your happiness, only their "reputation"(which in my eyes is pretty low). if he treats you well, and you are both happy together then it doesn't matter what they think anyway. you should care more about YOUR reputation. People don't think to highly of girls who go out with guys and then break it off simply because it makes them look "bad". Also, do his feelings even mean anything to you? i mean come on, the world doesn't revolve around you! he has feelings too, and to be dumped this way really hurts... trust me
