it wasn't about the movie ... it was about the story. A guy who was born from nothing immagrated to this country and became a wealthy druglord.

No. The dialogue was simplistic, the acting wasn't the best, and it's more than a little cartoonish. The 1931 Howard Hawks original was far superior.
