The referee was an emberrasment to his uniform especially in the second half. I'm just curious whats the going price for that kind of refereeing for a game as important as this

to all of you who claim im mearly "crying" The referee single handedly shutdown the argentine offense in the second hand. Every single time they went on the offensive, the referee would make some phantom call in order to stop the attack. Likewise on defence, every time germany lost the ball, they were given a foul on a dive they took. The goal came on one such dive by the way.

josephyus2001 i agree it wasn't all the ref's fault i have no idea why pekerman chose cruz instead of saviola.... but cruz did make the penalty so maybe he put him in as a penalty specialist?

cokeologist no need to insult, but i understand why you are angry about that england game. I don't think any team in history has ever been as insulted by maradona's second goal that game as England was. What was it 7 defendars and a goalie he ran past? O ya and i beleive you also tried to foul him and concede a penalty, but he still managed to put it in....

Granted, the referee should have shown Ballack the yellow card for diving, since he had done the same with the Argentinian player (I believe it was Maxi Rodriguez). Also, there were a few instances when the referee seemed to be using a double criteria.
Still, in general, the refereeing was above average quality for this cup.
I understand you're sad because Argentina lost in such a manner, but you really have to ask Peckerman why he chose to do those substitutions.
Argentina played really well and should be proud of it! You will get your third Cup soon!

whilst it would desire to be suggested that some calls will favour the residing house team interior the international cup, i think of that Argentina in user-friendly terms has their coach accountable. He became satisfied to guard a a million-0 lead and made undesirable substitution judgements. If he might have saved enjoying the attacking kind for ninety minutes, as a replace of seventy 5 minutes, Argentina may be via to the semis.

Ah, go invade the Falklands and get your *** kicked again. Sheep-loving sissies and BAD LOSERS at that. The yellow card for Podolski in the 3rd minute was already unfair (great acting by the Argentinian though). Maradonna trained them well, the only thing missing was a handgoal by them !
