Pimples happen to everyone, and they’re not the most pleasant thing to deal with. They always seem to crop up at the most inopportune time, whether it be a big meeing or a special date. To prevent these pesky occurrences, make sure to have a good skincare regimen and stick to it. Oily skinned gals should wash with a gentle, yet effective cleanser that doesn’t over dry. Try Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash ($4.99, drugstore.com). For normal or skin types, a simple cleanser like celeb-fave Cetaphil ($4.29, amazon.com) is perfect for removing dirt and oil without stripping the skin of oil.
Next, consider using a toner if your skin is excessively oily or if you happen to wear heavy makeup daily. While a cleanser will help to clean the skin, a toner will remove any remaining irritants and help to restore proper pH to the skin. For acne prone skin, try Murad Clarifying Toner ($20, sephora.com).
All skintypes, acne prone or not, need a moisturizer to balance the level of moisture in the skin. There is a fine line here -- too little moisture, and the sebaceous glands go into overdrive; too much moisturizer and you block pores, which leads to zits. An oil-free face lotion will help to hydrate the skin without feeling heavy.
Another tip to prevent pimples is to keep your hands off the face. Constantly using your fingers to pick at blemishes or even resting your hand on your cheek can transfer unwanted bacteria to the skin, resulting in a major breakout. If you do end up getting a pimple, resist the urge to pop. Instead, opt for a product that contains salicylic acid, designed to dry out and heal it, like Estee Lauder’s Clear Difference Targeted Blemish Gel ($16, esteelauder.com). Apply before bedtime on clean skin to calm and heal zits.
If you’ve exhausted all options for getting rid of that pimple, your last resort is covering it up. If it’s very red, use a color correcting concealer that contains green pigment in it to neutralize the color. Next, apply a skin-toned concealer or foundation on top, like Almay's Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Spot Concealer. Finally, layer a sheer pressed powder to set.

Wash your face twice a day with a gentle cleaser. Use a treatment for acne on the break out prone places on your face. A mask and exfoliating scrub once or twice a week can help too. Don't pick. Keep your hands away from your face, and clean stuff that comes in contact with your face. Like towels, use a clean one each time you wash. Clean your phone with rubbing alcohol. Make up brushed need regular cleaning. Do not use toothpaste on your face, the fluoride could make it worse. Look into Biore. They have an affordable line of products that can help.

Home acne remedies: Wash the face thoroughly with a non-oily face wash twice a day. After wiping off the water from the face apply tea-tree oil on the face. This can reduce the acne chances.
Don’t apply any oily or chemical cosmetics on the face. Apart from this basic acne remedy you can also use natural cleansers for better results.
Herbal acne remedies: For making herbal acne remedies lavender, chamomile, juniper, dandelion root, burdock and bergamot are instrumental. These herbal acne remedies can improve the skin condition considerably. Other herbs like hazel an excellent astringent, red clover an estrogen, and pokeroot an anti-inflammatory are herbal acne remedies.
