They dissolve on their own. Your doctor will also give you a little squirt bottle that you fill with warm water and rinse yourself with after you use the toilet (it feels SO nice!) and some Tucks (hemmorhoid) pads to use to wipe the area to keep it clean.

It depends on the circumstance of how bad the tearing is. With my first child I was split front to back and had to have so many stitches, most of them just dissolved, but I had some that had to be removed before living the hospital. So it depends.

Yes, they are the one that dissolves. The best comfort for stitches down there is a water bottle the warm water you just squeeze the warm water right on the stitches.

They dissolve most of the time.Unless you tear really bad.The best way to care for the stitches...and I know this is gonna sound weird..is to use a couple teaspoons of Lysol...lol..yes lysol mixed with hot water in a squirt bottle. It kinda numbs the area down there.Ask your doc about it.My first and third child it was recommended, but my middle child it wasn't the norm..I did it anyhow and ohhh sweet relief!!Good Luck!â¥

They dissolve on their own. They must - I didn't have to make a special trip to my OB/GYN to get them removed.
