The Return of the King. The scenes where Aragorn raises the dead to fight to restore their honor are awesome.

I would say the first one, The Fellowship of the Ring, is probably the best because it establishes the characters. We get to know who they are, what makes them want to take this arduous journey and we get to see how they react to the dangers that lay in store for them along the way.
However, my favorite is the second one, The Two Towers, because I am an action fan and I loved all the non-stop, larger than life battles transpired on the screen. It was much more of a thrill ride and I really liked how everyone came together in the final battle scene. Awesome!

I love them all but I definitely feel that Fellowship is the best too. I feel like that's the movie where you really start to know these characters and get bonded to them...it makes you want to watch the rest of them .... plus there is an innocene in the beginning of that film that is nice ...
