The reason i ask is because gordon and sr were good friends while he was alive so why all the hating?

Because Gordon wins races and a lot of drung earnhardt jr. fans resent that and the fact that many people think gordon could be homosexual

Dale Earnhardt Jr fans are all jealous of the success of Jeff Gordon. If Dale Earnhardt Jr were winning races and championships like Jeff Gordon, there wouldn't be an issue. In the eyes of the Jr fans, Jeff Gordon is a threat to their driver because he can get it done.

Mostly due to ignorance - Kinda like Mob Mentallity. He likes 'em' so I guess I will too. Or dislikes 'em.
Dale Earnhardt Sr and Jeff Gordon were good friends.
When Jeff started winning races that Sr should have or could have won - DE fans were dumfounded.
When he passed on - they got on the Jr band wagon.
I think most people do not appreciate their favorite driver or team losing, especially to a new guy from 'Not The South'.

The reason I don't like Jeff Gordon has nothing to do with the Earnhardts. So what if jeff and Dale Sr were friends, just because Dale liked him it doesn't mean that I have to. I'm not one of those people where just because my fav driver likes or hates someone i feel the same. I have my own mind.

It's not DALE SR fans that hate Jeff Gordon. All Jeff does is whine if he doesnt win anymore. I don't hate Jeff but he would have never made it 20 years ago.

Cause it makes racin fun...... Its also a little lonely to be the only Gordon fan in a sea of Dale JR fans at Talladega...........kinda scary tooo but its the thrill of the race thats keeps all us fans right there in the thick of it. If they didnt have a little rivalry then they would have the term rubbin is racin right GO Jeff GO you win at Daytona this 4th

That's because Jr. is from the south, home to Nascar and the majorady of the fan base. Gordon is from California and I think the good ol' boys down south are just p.o. that someone from Cali. not only made it in there sport, but really stuck it to them.
