The Beatles - Rubber Soul
Abba - Gold
Neil Young - Harvest
Each of the above albums are perfect in their entirety. Not a bad tune on either.
Rubber Soul - just beautiful melodies that are never dated
Abba - just fun music that has been with me since I was a kid
Harvest - most people think After the Goldrush is the best. But although I do love that, I find this more heartfelt and moving.
My substitute for Abba is Carole King's Tapestry. A stunner of an album.

so tough-Several Who CDs are tied: Best of, Meaty beaty Big and Bouncy, Who's Next..and who are they tied with? Led Zeppelin's 4th CD...because you only have to listen and compare who has the best drummer of all time...Moon or Bonham? Moon!
Sex Pistols- Never Mind the Bollocks... The biggest and only studio Punk CD from the band...but some bands only need one to start a movement..here is one...New York Dolls was another..Johnny Rotten and Sid Vicious...punk starts here!
The Smiths-The Smiths- I like CDs from groups that start a movement...The Smiths were a HUGE group with HUGE potential that unfortunately could not carry on like U2, REM, Depeche Mode etc... it was not for a lack of sales...it was a break up of the band itself...while most would side with Hatful of Hollow, The Queen is Dead or Louder Than Bombs as being the best...I like this one because I think it was an excellent debut from a very big band..Morrissey is still playing large in part due to The Smiths success as well as his own..
