there is a spray I used from raid that you spray in and outside the house. I had a tun of ants and when I used this they stopped coming in. also an old Cuban myth is not to clean on good Friday no sweeping no dusting nothing...if you do then you will get ants.

They are going into some opening at the corner of the wall. They only come out if food or a dead insect is lying around, otherwise they don't come. Put a little Raid powder at the opening and it will prevent them from coming out.

Go to Wal-mart in the garden section and pick up a can of Ortho Diazinon Granules.
I applied it inside my apartment along the baseboard of my living room, around the whole room and no more ants.

Take a plastic picnic spoon and make a line along the baseboard of the room.

I've always heard if you put out a small amount (filling about the size of a coke bottle lid) with beer it rids them.

Also the little poison "house" made by RAID works well.

Pour some baby powder in the corner or in any cracks. Ants hate walking into it.

Terro bait. You can get it at Home Depot. It's like sugar water and they will absolutely mob it, take it back to the nest and conveniently disappear.

They can not survive without moisture. Run a dehumidifier or air conditioner and they will go away.
