TO ALL AMERICANS.
I will give one example of many people there.
There was 2 Muslim Britons (see the movie, road to guantamano) visiting their relatives in Afghanistan.
American soldiers arrested them and took them to Guantamano, were they were tortured, sexually and religiously abused.
They were there for two years - and only got out because they were British.
They were not even told what the charge was against them.
Because of U.S. law, they cannot sue the government for wrongful imprisoment. So they are now suing on basis of religious abuse.

Americans are not at all being told a Pro-Bush side. Our news continually discredits our President. We are very much aware of Guantanamo Bay, and I believe that a decision was recently made to not put the soldiers on trial. Just to clear it up, though, many Americans are very aware (on the contrary to common foreign belief, we are not ignorant) of the torture allegations. Personally, when you look at what Al Quada (SP?) is doing to our innocent citizens over there (beheading with dull knives), it doesn't sound as bad. I don not believe that it gives us the right to do the same, but I do believe that alot of what happened has been blown out of proportion.

The fact that the only Bush side we hear about it right now is that he 'wants' to let the prisoners out, and that the media doesn't ever question this (the mainstream media at least). We are still being fed largely the Bush side of things.
The media doesn't cover Guantanamo at all except to repeat back press releases from one agency/government.

I cant speak for any other Americans no one here can, But I can confirm that our media covers all 5 sides of any issue plus a few our non American friends would never come up with.
Are non Americans being told anything but anti USA rhetoric and how much safer the world would be if everybody would just hug the Islamic radicals who have vowed to destroy the evil western way of life. Just wondering :D

I've not heard a positive thing about Guantanamo. In fact, a couple of days ago, I heard about the abuses perpetrated on our troops and guards serving at Guantanamo, which I think is under reported. People keep screaming it needs to be closed, I think in large part due to some extremely biased reporting.

we don't hear much from the mainstream media. if its not pro-Bush, they don't want us knowing about it.
the Internet is the only way to find out whats really going on. Its pretty sad and more than a little scary.
it'll be decades before we find out all the crap this administration is up to on a daily basis.

we hear both sides, Bush is hated by the left and much of the press is leftist so you can conclude that there are allies here that support your position. I believe the only good Islamic Fascist is a dead one cavorting with 72 whores.

We don't hear much about it at all, but what we do hear is very negative. The Bush-backers stick their heads in the sand and pretend this stain on American values isn't as bad as they say, while the rest of us (the majority) want the damn place shut down.

Why do you not tell US what you have heard. I know it is a POW camp the men there where fighting the US and if we let them go they will kill again. So 2 or 3 killed them selves.
Have you heard what happens to the US men that fall into their hands. Not one of our men or women live to be freed.
So ask me again if I care.
