depends on what level of lessons, and who the instructor is.
if its just beginning level, $15-20 is about normal, if you are going to a music store. For in home lessons its double that.
for advanced lessons you can pay much more.

It depends how the lessons are structured, what's provided, and how much experience the teacher has. But, I think 30 minutes once a week is way too little. Just having a class 30 minutes long is barely having enough time to warm up and get into the swing of things and then immediately having to pack up and go.

I paid $15 an hour for guitar lessons, and $20 for 40 minutes of voice lessons. Ask around or look in the Classifieds to see what the going rate is in your area. It can depend a lot on the market. If there are a lot of teachers available or not a lot of people who want to learn, it might be cheap. But if the teacher has amazing credentials, or you are at an advanced level, it may be more expensive.

Depends on the experience of the instructor and if you're going to a school of music or a private instructor.
For a private instructor, I would ballpark between $35-$75 per half hour lesson.

I'm not too sure... I've only taken about 3 and that was a long time ago just to make sure that I didn't develop carpal tunnel syndrome. I find it easier to teach myself instruments. Whatever floats your boat though. I'm sure it depends on who the teacher is, but if I were you, I would just get one of those essential elements books for violins and teach myself :)

I paid $17.50 per 30 minute lesson for my daughter's piano lessons, which comes out to $35 per hour. OUCH!
I think $20.00 per 30-minute lesson would be the absolute most I'd pay for any music lesson.

Really depends on how good the teacher is. If you just want to learn for fun, get a less advanced, cheaper teacher
