Those Jingles doesn't have an objective. What does it mean?
A jingle is just that, a jingle, because it should be creative, new, never heard, and should talk about the brand and its 2 or 3 best qualities. Repeating this 2 or 3 times.
So, those jingles must make 2 things hapen. First is to remeber the music and the song and second is to remember the name of the brand.
Many "advertisers" think that a good known song helps the product and I don't agree.

Most annoying parody commercial right now: EBay. I can't stand them. I think original ones are better. They are more creative and get the message across. The parody ones are necessary to reach a wider market. I guess it depends on the product.

You must be young. I think I remember feeling that way when I was in my 20's..Now that I am a decade older..I find that the silly parody songs are marketing and targeting ME...I think I hated them ten years ago because they weren't trying to reach me as a consumer. SO The lesson her is..When You start like silly commercials that parody your high school days...ITS meansyou are getting old!
So enjoy the fact that you are young and they DONT appeal to you~

I doubt whether commercial jingles meet their objective. It is better if an advertisement concentrate on plus points of product.

Because it is a recognized song, that will stick in someones head and remind them of something else. If this song is associated with a product, it will make you think of the product every time that song is heard or pops into your head.
