Valerie D. Allen Memorial Scholarship
On July 10, 1999, the Gettysburg Campus of HACC mourned the death of Valerie Allen, one of our best and brightest students. She was known as an honor student, a scholarship recipient, a single mother of three small children, and a wonderful person and friend to many. Many people were enriched by her bright smile and her willingness to help in any and all situations.
To honor Valerie's memory the Gettysburg Campus of HACC along with the HACC Foundation has created the Valerie D. Allen Memorial Scholarship. To be considered, a student must attend HACC Gettysburg Campus; have completed at least 12 credits; have a minimum GPA of 3.0; and write a brief essay. Award amount varies.
