i think no matter how honest a person seems to come across to us voters, and say that they will be different than the last idiot, and do the best they can for the people are just competing for a position and when elected, what they stood for goes down the toilet.so pretty much what I'm saying is vote for who you feel represents your own views the closest.this way you have a voice, and after that they find someway to miss represent us all.politicians are all in someway crooked.and the general voting public are the last thing on their corrupted minds. Republicans(losers) are for the system,Democrats(cowards) are for the people. the best way to vote is like bush runs this country, blindfold yourself spin round 20 times or so and just point.

Actions speak louder than words. Politicians always say one thing and do another and it's dependant on those actions weather you turn out to be an idiot in the end. So initially, no you're not an idiot until proven to be one, lol!!!

Yes if once you realize that person is an idiot and you continue to back them. As long as you can accept that maybe you under or over-estimated a politician and you've learned from your mistakes, you're in the clear.

Not necessarily. Either you are an idiot, or you were hoodwinked by a particularly clever idiot. Or the person asking you a question about it has an opinion about a certain "idiot". :-P
