I think its cool. I mean of course people gonna say that it sucks but just look at that emo sh it. Cant understand what they sayin and plus they gon lose their damn voice! tellin us that rap sucks take a look at that emo sh it! Well i like it cuz it gets the stress of my chest. Rap you can relate to. So does hip hop. They say that it all the sounds the same but it doesnt. Rap talks about your life. Hip Hop talks about gettin crunk up in the club like Lil Scrappy and shakin dat booty like other hip hoppers say it. So thats why i like it.

I love it. I think way too many people over think rap and hip hop. Most of the time, the words are meaningless, it's the beat people like. I like a lil of everything though so...

good music is good music -- and people like eminem, rundmc, mary j and snoop are just awesome artists and so their music will translate to anyone (my very conservative grandmother actually mentioned she liked a little melody she heard - "mother, I didn't mean to hurt youuu..." and I was stunned at first, but I guess not surprised)

that last example may not be a good one for rap, but since a lot of the other rap songs deal with non-meaningful sex, drunken / drugged exploits, putting other people down, not respcting women, way too much cursing and violence for no purposes other than b/c it is expected to be there -- well, when the mucis is watered down and over-hyped with all of this gross nonesense then it just becomes stupid and unappealing (waste of time)

unfortunately most rap music has all of this violence, sex, drugs, aggression for no purposes (it served a purpose and worked for NWA) and that's probably why most people don't like rap / hip-hop

My overall opinion of rap and hip hop is good. There are exceptions like when they repeat certain things in every song, whether it be their name or their cash or their bling. I love the beats though and the majority of it is good. Its the country music that sucks. Besides, what else are you going to dance to? Rock?

there is nothing wrong with rap or hip hop. it's the way the artists put out their songs and their just trying to tell you a story like every other musician does with their type of music.

They need to rap about something positive. Become a real roll model for the black community instead of helping bring them down Even more. All they do is join gangs and kill each other.

Rap and hip-pop are both tight but now artists don't like to talk about regular things in life only about naked girls and cash. I also do like the way they're collaborating with reggaeton artists.

I can't stand it. It's as bad as heavy metal. People play it to loud and it hurts my ears. I hate being forces to listen to someone else's idea of music. Yes you have a right to listen to whatever you want to, but others also have the same right to listen to what they want to and not have other's music forced on them. If you are infringing upon the rights of another, then you are a very selfish person (that goes for smokers, cell phone users and motorcycles and loud cars as well).

I don't like it personally...it is very degrading to women and shows no respect for them...Oh sure, there is the odd song that doesn't convey disrespect, but as a genre, that is the thing I don't like about it...and don't even get me started on the disrespect of women on videos.

they suck. There is no skill. wow, they can talk fast. wow, they can tell someone to make some electronic gadget make a noise. All the songs are about the same stuff. They all sound the same, rythmically. I mean, they can't even play guitar or anything.
