I am from Houston, TX. I never left Texas. I moved from Dallas to Waco to San Antonio to Brownsville to El Paso to Abilene to Lubbock to Fort Worth to Houston. Where do you live and believe me you're not lonely.

I'm in Texas. Came here 7 years ago the 4th of July from Georgia. Before that I was in New York. Texas is good in some ways and not so good in others. It's very hot here but we live in a small town near the beach and the crime rate is almost non existent.It's a great place to raise a family. We escaped the hard winters of NY but now we have to deal with hurricanes and tornado's. I hope you find people you would like to be friends with here in Texas. There are people of every kind here not just cowboys, as my NY relatives believe. Get out and look around and join churches or social clubs to find people with whom you feel comfortable. No one is going to seek you out if you don't make your needs known.
