I don't know if it's the longest, but Los Angeles has the full name of El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles de la Porciuncula, ("The Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels of the 'little portion'.)

I don't know about city names, but there's a Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg in Massachusetts. It's the Native American word for "you fish on your side of the lake, I'll fish on my side of the lake, and no one will fish in the middle."
