No, the only answer is to reduce waste and recycle.

Matter can neither be created nor destroyed, so the basic answer to your question is 'no.' We cannot make anything "disappear."
Matter can be changed, however, into other forms (ice melts into liquid; eggs, flour, and other ingredients make a cake, etc...), so trash can be made smaller or less imposing by burning (changing it to ashes and smoke), melting (which allows some things to be used again), or compacting (which makes it look smaller), or biodegrading (which adds to the volume of the earth's soil or water as it breaks down - even biodegradable items don't disappear, they just change form).
We can reduce the amount of trash we add to landfills, however, by choosing items that require little waste, or by composting or recycling what we can. Add vegetable and fruit peels and cores to your garden. Shred paper to use for mulch or pet litter. Etc...

But again, there is no physical way to make anything disappear, as matter can neither be created or destroyed - only changed.

Earth is not damaged on the tiny surmount of tidy retreats on shores and forests. Trash can sure dissapear with manure and urea production on these goodies. Sure some is radioactive and burning isotopes, yet with some papaya trioxid of metilo those can be solved and heated with some vibration as to sediment plumb and steel. Plumb would be used on electric tubes, and steel can be used with carbon in better forms of carbon dioxide or stainless steel. The trash is very small to determined workers on gold and palladium, which are in cartons and airplanes. In three months 14 people with three machines (tool breaker, gene weezzle, and carb boomer) and a million soles can earn 2700000 soles, not bad at all. Bye.

Personally, I think the best way to make trash disappear would be to recycle what can be recycled, and then burn the rest.

Unfortunately, my ideas have been shot down mostly due to environmental factors as a result of the burning. But I still think that in the long run, I see no better solution.

Um... "trash" is a term used to describe something that we don't want, need, or can use anymore. All you need to do to get rid of trash is turn it into something useful. I guess this is the psychology of the whole recycling procedure.

I wouldn't worry too much about the effects of trash on the Earth's enviornment. I mean, look at all the stuff that goes on on this planet. How much "trash" does one volcano eruption produce? Or air contaminants?

In all seriousness, we could theoretically make at least some of it "disappear," but it would involve pyrolysis of the garbage at very high temperatures and extraction of pure elements of it, and then fission in a nuclear reactor.

If you could figure out a way to release the atomic energy in garbage you would be the richest man alive.

Absolutely. Eating more ice cream cones will do the trick. Both the ice cream and the cone are consumed. Now if we could only do something about the fools that let the ice cream fall off the cones.

Energy and Matter cannot be destroyed or created, we can only convert it to a different form.

By recycling them , or maybe burn them in an empty space, or even bury them they will turn into fossils over time!
