Now they have this other guy, Joe I think his name is, and Steve was much better than this guy.

I saw something like this on snopes.com, and to clear some misconceptions:
1)Steve isn't dead.
2)Steve isn't a drug addict in rehab.
3)He probably did go to college and has done some other acting stints since he left.
In fact, Steve has played a drug addict on an episode of Law & Order, and died in the episode, which created misconceptions 1 and 2. He also said candidly on Blue's Clues that he was leaving for college, making a college based episode, but he probably is trying his hand at other parts in other shows, to escape typecasting. Hope that works for you.

The story was that he went to college but I think Joe is okay! How is Steve better? Its probably just that you're so use to Steve so you won't accept Joe yet. Sounds stupid but its possible without even consiously knowing it!

Steve commited sucicide in 1999, they ran episodes for 2 years that they had pre recorded and then replaced steve for joe. You can find this stuff out online you know.

My 5 year old grand daughter told me that Steve went to school, and his cousin or brother is taking care of Blue.

I liked Steve. I heard he got fired and then I heard he went to rehab for a drug habit. Who knows. I don't really like Joe though.

I don't what really happened to him but on the show they said that he was going to college and that Joe was going to stay and take care of the house. Joe is supposed to be his brother.

On the show, Steve went to college. In real life, he just got tired of the roll. He's not dead, gay or in prison. He has started his own band.

steve got to old looking to do show. joe is his younger brother. watch it sometimes joe talks about steve...lol
