I believe the payment of the two weeks depends on your employer's policy or past practice. One of my friends was in the same situation, and he did get pay for the last 2 weeks. For more information see http://www.siouxcityjournal.com/expert/?offset=10&limit=10&xid=11 or your state employment department's website for help.

No. U have to file Unemployment to get those last days that they didnt allow you to work....Not unless you have a real nice "boss" (which are very rare ) then maybe the company will pay you...but I seriously doubt that...alot of bosses are penny-pinching tite wads that wont even give you a Nickle...but thats how those old buzzards made their money...so best thing to do is go to Unemployment office and file claim for your benefits...Good Luck

If you had a contract stating they are required to give you separation pay you may be able to collect. If they let you go with cause, then it is unlikely you will get paid.

Unless you're an executive with a golden parachute, or your company lets you save up vacation days and pays you for them if you don't use them, you only get paid for what you work.

In most cases they do not have to pay you for that time. They do have to pay you any acrued vacation though.
Each state has slightly different rules. You should be able to take to the Employment Department for your state for clarification (or it may even be on their website.)

You should! Well, if they make you leave. That happens a lot, especially if you have access to important things. They don't want you disgruntled, so it's often worth it to just pay you to stay away.

Actually I think they have to pay you up until the date you gave.
