It kind of depends on how badly you need a tv and how often you watch TV. If you're ok with the TV you have right now, I say shop! If you really want a TV, buy one. Or you could save your money and wait for your next paycheck. Then you could buy a nicer TV.

Pay your bills first then go to the store and buy all the necessities for the next few weeks and then do whatever else you want to do. I'd put some in savings.
