LapTop: F8 gets me into a Screen where "Safe Mode", "Last Good Configuration .." choices are present, but when clicked, I get a blanc screen.
Windows Logo appears, then the message: "Windows is preparing to start...."
Then again a I get a blanc screen.
I did hook up this HD to another PC and I can access most of it except for Desktop\Documents and Settings\Folders... (Access Denied) - because I've set a User Password when Loging in Windows XP. Is there anyway around that?

Is there any software to be Installed on the second computer and Check, Recover, Fix Registry on my Laptop (hooked up HD)?

I have made a bootable CD and Downloaded Knoppix.Iso on it, then I get the image of my Desktop in Linux, but just in a Read-only mode.
How do I copy those Folders from the HD\Desktop\Documents and Settings?

Bart PE will work better for that. You will need a windows XP diskand the Bartpe program to make an ISO. After that you can burn it and use the filemanager to move files from the one drive to the other.

There are only two reason i can think of that Bartpe will not work for you.
1. the hard drive has bad sectors where your desktop is located or
2. you encrypted your profile.

I'm going to say that it is a virus. There might be a place that you could send the drive to to get the files that you need off the drive.I always record my important files to a CD as I work.Computers are really sensitive to computer virus. One virus and you throw the computer away. There are other choices in Safe Mode that you could try they are listed. You might also try setting your BIOS to default or factory settings.(save and exit)I've run in to Access Denied even when I didn't use a password.Using Linux could be an off track idea. You could also talk to the sales person that sold you the computer. It could still be under warranty. You might also try the BIOS reset jumper. You have to be in engineer mode here. This resets the BIOS to factory settings.Power off---disconnect the power--move the jumper--move the jumper back--power on--set the clock. You could also remove the BIOS battery then replace it.(CMOS)The BIOS jumper trick brings a dead computer back to life.I've had to use a heat gun to the BIOS chip in extreme cases.Jog the power switch as you heat the chip. This virus will not let the computer start till the BIOS chip is at a certain temperature.

You could try a repair install from the Windows disk if it actually is a software problem. You could also hook the hard drive up to another system, boot to windows and from start>run type sfc /scannnow to check the system files. This again is assuming it's a software problem. Otherwise your hard drive might be going bad.
