I had sharp pains in my lower abdomen (already been to the doc.) and he had thought it was a bladder infection or pregnancy and we've already ruled out bladder infection, but does being preg really give you sharp pains down there? It's a little early also... period not due until 11 days from now. My last period started 14th and ended 19th (of this month.) My husband and I have had sex several times since then last day of it being the 27th. Can anyone give me advice and past experiences. I know that none of you can say whether I am preg or not, just advice and let me know how YOU felt when YOu were pregnant, or someone you knew... Thanks girls (or guys) The pains are gone but they are kinda of like dull cramps now... before the pains were so bad I couldn't sit down hard or anything... lucky the are gone now, but dull ''pain'' are here now.

I know some of you guys think it's 'gas' related or something, but like I've said I have already gone to my regular doc and he didn't mention anything like that. He just said that it was either a bladder infection or I could possibly be preg, although we both thought it was a little early for the symptoms. I am starting to get tired, sick to my stomach more than often, headaches, dizziness, and my breasts are starting to get sore. My pain HAS subsided and it's just a matter of waiting. I asked my Doc if it was normal to have these pains if you were pregnant and he said,"What is normal?" Apparently he thought it was possible for me to have pains and be pregnant.

That's how I knew I needed to take a pregnancy test. I didnt have any symptoms other than cramping and being sleepy all the time. When I was about a month pregnant I had really bad cramps for about 2 weeks so bad that when I was at work I'd have to leave the room. For about a week or 2 after that I had cramps still but they weren't as bad and after that there were no more cramps. I'd go ahead and take a test. It might be too early though, you need to have enough of the horomone built up to make it positive. I had 6 tests come out negative(I took 1 a week) and then the 7th came out right.

It is a possibilty that you are having hyper ovarian stimulation. Meaning your body is preparing for ovulation - eggs are attaching to the ovaries and they are in either very large quanities or they are just very large.

I had this happen to me right before I got pregnant this last time. My doctor discovered it through an abdominal sono....you might just mention it and see what he or she thinks.

As far as the pain goes..... I hear ya. It was excrutiating at first and then it subsided into dull cramping pain.

Hope everything turns out ok.

if you miss your period take a test..but im not sure why you are getting sharp pains...they could be just cramps.. i never got pains until late in the pregnancy

try an EPT they detect earlier then normal tests but are very expensive

Did you see your OB/GYN? They can test you for pregnancy AND make sure everything check out down there. I get those pains too but it's nothing, things are just fine. Sometimes you get pains here and there and it's just your guts making pains. I panicked too but then realized I was fine! Good luck.

You would not be feeling pregnancy symptoms this soon. When I have sharp abdominal pains it is usually gas or constipation.
