I have been watching the temp. gauge and it's a bit more heated than usual. A little pass 210. I'm sure my coolant needs to be replaced.

How much is that and could it be the cause of something else?
Can anything else go wrong b/c of this?

yeah 210 is a little high, if you get a friend to do it, about 15 bucks or less, just add a bit of anti freeze and then fill the rest up with a water hose.. if it gets low again ( like within a couple weeks ) youl have to get it checked for leaks ( usually doesnt cost too much ) good luck :)

Around 210 is normal for this vehicle. Electric cooling fan does not turn on until engine gets to 220. The sensor that makes that light come on is in the overflow bottle.
Mix the proper coolant (orange or green. Do NOT mix them) 50/50 and fill the overflow bottle to the full line.
If the coolant continues to get low you have bigger problems i.e. head gasket or intake gaskets. Wouldn't get too bent out of shape yet

Be sure there is fluid in the plastic reservoir,if not fill with 50%water and 50% antifreeze then check it again after you drive awhile and top off as needed, this will assure the fluid level is nice and full. it could just be low, also check if the fan cycles on, at 210 it should be running, its behind the radiator.

You want your engine to run cool. If it runs too hot, it could overheat and leave you stranded at the side of the road. Depending on the age of your car, and what all has been done to it, I'd suggest a flush and fill of the radiator, and replace the thermostat.

Note: Your car may simply be low on coolant with no other problems!

you need to fix this problem fast you have aluminum heads and they will warp and cause more problems. and this will be very expensive. pull out your oil dipstick and see if your oil level is correct. if you see anything but oil you have problems already. this means a blown headgasket. if no water is on the dipstick the best thing to do is have it towed in for repairs cause driving it more could mess it up more ive been there and it costs alot hopefully it is something easy good luck
