No - for the same reason I wouldn't convert to Christianity. I don't believe in formalized religion. Dogma leads to blindly following corrupt people and believing in evil teachings. It's more important to be able to tell what's right and wrong (rather than listen to dictations of what someone else thinks is right and wrong).

However, I wouldn't mind studying it, maybe even joining a prayer session as a guest (under circumstances where it is appropriate to do so). But learning about Islam isn't particularly high on my list of priorities at the moment.

Why would you want to convert to Islam? Do you not have a belief of your own?

There are reasons for you to convert.

One is love. You married someone who is muslim or who insists he or she will not marry you if you dont convert. you are so crazy you will.

Second is force. Indirect or direct force to convert.

Third is choice. Now when you make the choice to convert to islam, you must have found some really wonderful reasons to convert to islam.

So first clear your mind. Dont jump into it without making the correct choices.

I was forced into islam. I was tortured to believe in Islam. I was told I had to believe or I would die at his belt.

I was forced to tolerate other wives and look at porn. I was forced that I could not read or speak. I had to remain silent in front of others. I could not dance or sing as it was for prostitutes only. My children had to watch their father torture and rape me.
I had to fast and follow all the rules of islam to the dot.

In fact, there is a rule that imuslims are not allowed to have any permanenece in their lives. Like pictures. No images or statues. And yet they take over land and build darghas for saints. Just because a person is a miracle performer or magician or into witchcraft and does a few tricks, they build a dargha for him. But no permanent structures are allowed.
One way of taking over land.

I did not have a choice. I tried to run away only to be returned to his little narrow minded world.

You tell me when you are ready. Study it very carefully, and then decide. Go to Saudi Arabia and learn islam. They are the best people to teach you. Then decide. We are all free to make our choices and live our lives. No one is stopping you.

No. The only muslim I know punches me every time I ask him if I convert just for the anti-American part without doing all that God side of things.

No. Islam is not a true religion. It is a cult just like Mormonism or Satanism. Both of these so called "religions" are based on a MAN's teaching. Just a man..... Jesus was and IS the SON of the true LIVING GOD. He was not just a man like Mohammad or Joseph Smith and the like.
