There were probably a lot more Germans that liked Adolf Hitler than Americans that approve of Bush right now. I'm not saying Bush is worse than Hitler, it's just that in Germany during that time you were basically trained to follow what the fuhrer did and not question it. Here we have dissenting minds, so you notice the disagreement a lot more.
Also, if Bush were as bad as Hitler, we would have already had another major attack on us (other than 9/11) and we would probably be in another World War. However, we may be on the verge if Iran and N. Korea decide to step up against us.

I'm not blind, and I'm not scared. Most of Hitler's support existed because it was "agree or die." So most Germans turned a blind eye to what was happening, and pretended to approve. Ever seen "Judgement at Nuremberg"? Ever spoken to a German who remembers what Hitler's reign of terror was really like?
I've done both. And very few Germans supported Hitler, unless they were members of his cabinet, and stood to gain something.
Now, you would call me a "Bush American". I do not support him blindly. I research all sides before I make my decision. Do I think President Bush is perfect? Well, HELL NO. But I acknowledge his mistakes just as much as the things he does right. I read the paper, watch the news (from several different sources so I can get every side), and just generally pay attention.
Apples and oranges.

Impossible to answer that question but you are on the right track. Don't think of it as Germany. The US is smarter then Hitler was. We destroy governments economically, just ask Russia. We need to stay in control of the world by any means necessary. What would the world be like if Germany took over the Planet. Now just realize that we took over the planet and this is what it look like today. We will never let another world power come to light there is to much at risk. Just remember that every time we go into another country and have a war. Its all about staying in control of the world no matter what they tell you, it has to be that way.

Notice the question says "BUSH's Americans" meaning people who are for him, and HITLER's Germans, meaning people who like him! So don't bring Jews and democrats here, people. Obviously, read the question twice before answering.
There was a certain gist of absolute hypnotism rooted with deep fear and a whole lot of brainwashing at the time of the 1930-1940's. Hitler's ideas were so incredibly dreadful and drastic that people were bound to agree with them.
Bush doesn't even have half the mind power to come up with a half-sensible idea. And most of his followers unfortunately are very aware of what's going on around them and are just incredibly stupid. Yes, our times show a complete lack of intelligence, education, and innovative, outside-the-box thinking.

Quite obviously. In fact, the comparison can easily be made. First, switch the dreaded swastika with the Republican Elephant. Then, replace the Jews, Gypsies, Soviets and Enemies of the State with (in comparable order) Muslims, 9/11 widows, Democrats and the opponents of the Reich Wing. Keep the Homos and minorities, both the Reich and the Reich Wing hate them. Then, replace Hitler's all male staff with people such as Condi Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, so on and so forth. A leaf out of the book of the old USSR, give him false prophets who continuously inject and forcefeed the people propaganda, that area is taken by Lush Rimjob and Ann Coulter. Replace the C-Camps with POW camps, but don't kill them. Torture is alright, though. Then, give him a KGB (also out of the Red Russian handbook), add two other balances of power, Italy (the Cancervative infected Supreme Court) and Vichy France (the corrupted Congress). Finally, degenerate Hitler to the intellect of a monkey, allow the USSR to invade us (as opposed to us turning on them) and use THAT as the excuse of invading Poland.

What the hell are you talking about? The majority of Germans supported Hitler. At the moment, the majority of Americans don't support Bush.

First off, the question is NOT comparing Bush to Hitler, or conservatives to nazis....It ask simply ask if Right Wing Conservatives follow Bush and the Republican party with the same "blind loyalty" as Right Wing Germans did with Hitler and the Nazi Party.
Obviously, with conservative spokespeople like Limbaugh, Coulter, and Hannity calling anyone who questions Bush and his disastrous policies a "traitor", it's a fair comparison, and one I can easily make.

I think there's often a certain portion of the population with a strong herd instinct who will follow thoughtlessly any charismatic leader. Be it Hitler, Bush, whom ever.
As an American citizen, I am personally appalled at the behavior and actions of this man, and will protest him until he is out of office. America and the rest of the world deserve better than to be subjected to this clown abusing his powers of office.

Unfortunately, yes, that is why we are in Iraq.
Why there are 600 detained at Gitmo for years without charges filed and why does our country sends prisoners to other countries to interrogation camps..because we aren't allowed to torture as cruelly as they are.?
Why are people who disagree with those measures threatened, called traitors and un-American?
Because many of us are just as brain washed and deluded as the German people who followed Hitler. Propaganda is everything! Why do you think bush has dominated the airways with his speeches (in-fo mercials ) for the last few months?
