Hello, I am having a bbq party for the fourth of July & don't have alot of cash. I have already turned it into a pot luck to save cash . . I was wondering if anybody had any ideas on how I could make the party fun without spending a ton of cash. I have a pool . . big back yard . . plenty of room inside . . ac . . etc. I have fifteen people coming & want to make sure everybody has a great time (including me)

Pot Luck was the first really great idea. Also, have folks each bring a few fireworks with them, so that all can be set off and enjoyed together--that's what we do. Play music on a portable radio, or if you can get a stereo system set up out in the backyard--do that. One that has a multi-disc changer means that you won't have to be tending it every time one CD is done. Go to your local dollar store--I know every town has to have em ll, and get some cheap $1.00 decorations (flag banners or something). This isn't even a requirement--but does add to the effect.
If there are going to be kids, the pool alone will entertain them likely. If it is an in-ground pool--you probably won't be able to get them out of it, lol. If it is an above-ground simpler one, you might want to also set up a sprinkler. One other thing we always do is to get water balloons and go nuts with those.
Those are the basics, and the rest kinda runs itself. That's one of the great things about the 4th of July.

Well, living in South Florida, if you have a big back yard, that is a party right there!! I would recommend loud music blasting out the windows towards the backyard. Also, focus the party around the pool, make sure that everyone brings their swim suit. If you and your friends are of age, I also recommend BYOB for your friends, and you can always pick up some cheap beer (I suggest Busch in the bottle or High Life bottles) Have a good party and Happy 4th!

Borrow your neighbors croquet or horseshoes if you don't have a set, always a fun game with groups and grass. Make sure you have a good number of stupid toys for the pool people too.

you don't have to spend a lot
- ask eveyone to bring a drink and have fun blended drinks
- wear red white and blue (kind of cheesy butonce they've had blended drinks they won't mind)
Have card or pool or whatever games set up in case people get bored and also have an indoor room availabe for people who want to get outof the sun
btu you have a pool and you have food so people wil lhave fun

If "we are all invited" that means about a million people will be there. Better stock up on the eats. LOL. If you have a pool, plan some pool games.

attempt having a makeover social gathering! Ask all of your acquaintances that you invited to carry something with them - like a facial mask or nail polish, etc. Take turns doing one yet another's hair and nails even as observing a number of your in demand videos. in case you want to have them over at nighttime (it makes the films extra interesting) attempt haveing a sleepover social gathering. believe me, its a great number of interesting! P.S. do not forget popcorn :)
