I use Clinique makeup products, but my brushes are from MAC, and they work great. I wouldn't recommend their makeup, though.

Yes go it will be a great experience. I used Clinque then I was turned to MAC which is so much better, It last longer. The different brushes do matter it helps with applying different colors and where to apply them. I work with lots of brushes I do stage make-up and I really love MAC. I works for me for everyday and on the stage.

Four items? That could be expensive. I like MAC and their staff, but I would not buy 4 items at the time from them.
MAC's selection of colors and durability is better than Clinique, but the quality is the same.
The MAC brushes are good as long as you do not keep washing them.

MAC cosmetic consultants scare me. they have lots of make up on and in weird colors and such... it is really scary when i go to that store. I love thier brushes, and some of thier glosses. If you are really into make up and a wild look go..
best bet is to stick with clinique, and ask for a change...

with the massive competitive beauty market... you can easily find other quality subsitutes at a lower price, when it comes to make-up brushes. Perhaps you would like to shop around.
I dont know the buying cultural in your country.. but i know many beauty brands' consultants would be delighted to assist you or guide you along even only with inexpensive purchases or even no purchases... (avoid the rush/peak hours of course). I used to be a beauty promoter, and i love it when customers ask for opinions. Not only it makes work passes by more quickly, it help me gain experiences on diff kind of face style/shape etc....

MAC has awesome brushes, but if you normally go for "natural" looking makeup, MAC may not be the brand for you. It is alot heavier and if you don't have a light touch, you may end up looking overdone. I personally love their stuff, but I wear it mostly when I go out at night.

i used to wear MAC makeup when i was a tv reporter...it stays on well...but it's super harsh on your skin...i'd only suggest MAC makeup for the stage and performances or whatever...other than that, it's way overpriced. if you just need foundation or powder or something, i'd suggest physician's formula (walgreens, wal-mart, etc.). it's natural and more affordable.
