Yes, but you need a special cd burner. I saw one on tv. It was made by Sony. Don't remember what it's called but it was about $250.

If the DVR box has an input and output , maybe but you will have to just try . remember that the output on the DVR has to go to the input on the DVD or CD recorder

given that both DVD and CD have same capacity?? Nope
but if you have the right codecs you can rip a DVD (movie) into a small enough *.avi file (about 700 MB) , then for sure you can burn it on a CD

I would think that you would have to burn it to a dvd. A dvd holds up to 4.3 gigs of info. A cd would only hold around 700 megs.
