It is a hairy mole, genetically programed to grow hair. Your back, on the other hand, is apparently NOT programmed in that manner due to your specific heritage.

Generally speaking, nobody really knows what causes birthmarks. Moles and birthmarks fall into the same catagory. I would venture a guess and say that the cells in the area of your birthmark are not functioning as they normally would (i.e. like the rest of your back) and the genes that control hair production are turned on. Also the birthmarks have there dark color because of increased melonin (skins pigment) production. While hair is not tied to melonin production the over activity of the genes may be...but that's just my guess.

That's where they injected you. It's a mark so they will be able to find you. Watch out or they'll come for you.

Because there's where the folicules found more nutrients needed to grow hair. -gotta love our bodies.
