Star Jones-Reynold's contract was not renewed which basically means she was fired. When she announced that she would not be returning and later in a magazine stated she was fired, Barbara Walters took offense. Ok so Star didn't make the announcement when the network wanted her to but so what? She didn't say anything negative about the show or the network. She said she was fired in the magazine because when your contract is not renewed it means you were fired. What do you think?

I cannot understand why Barbara was offended. She was aware that Star was FIRED and why. People need to be honest. Most people realized that Star was fired. Why clean up the facts?

Lost some of my respect for Barbara.

Barbara Walters is completely making too big a deal over Star Jones' announcement. The thing that bothers me the most is the way she's doing it, she's doing it in a sneaky kind of way. She's choosing her words very carefully and twisting reality. She's trying to make Star Jones look like the bad person when clearly Barbara Walters is in the wrong. She didn't renew Star's contract. Another problem is how the network is lying for Barbara Walters and trying to make her look like more of a victim. Barbara Walters needs to stop twisting reality and get with truth.

Did anyone happen to see the show today? It was one that was prerecorded. Not sure of the exact day it was recorded but it was pretty ugly. It was the cast of The Devil Wears Prada. Barbara asked if it is better to be fired by a female boss or a male boss. Star was very snotty in every answer and she was taking open shots at every oppertunity. It was very uncomfortable. She talked about a female boss being sneaky and going behind your back and several other potshots. I thought Barbara handled it pretty gracefully actually and I am not a huge fan of hers. I do respect the power she has and think Star is an idiot to mess with her. She thinks she is a lot more powerful than she actually is. I don't know if the "blacklist" exists anymore but if it does, Star is in TROUBLE. I also think that she marriage will be over just about as fast as it began. he was in it for the celebrity and when you have to continually gush and tell everyone how happy you are, usually that is a pretty good sign that things are not so fine. I used to like Star but was really pretty fed up with her.

I think there are things that both sides aren't telling us...

I watched the Larry King interview with Star Jones last night... she was taking some potshots at Barbara too.

I think both sides are trying to act like they're victems, when everybody's mad at everybody else. Star's offended that she was, essentially, fired. And ABC/Barbara Walters is ticked because she didn't handle things professionally (or what THEY thought was professional).

I think Star needs to go get an awesome job and be skinny and fabulous somewhere else. She's a little too glam for The View now anyway. Which is probably why they didn't want to renew her contract to begin with.

Barbara Walters dealt with action picture star Jones unfairly. i do unlike her and could under no circumstances watch the view back. Elizabeth desires to flow. I want she would were fired. i'm no rosie fan. I anticipate this teach will lose a great number of visitors with the aid of undesirable ratings. action picture star Jones made the teach exciting. i'm prepared on action picture star and could proceed to help her.

Barbara Walters is overreacting. Star did nothing wrong other than tell the truth, but ask any Court Justice and they'll say that's a good thing. (the telling the truth part)

Babs is being a spoiled brat. Star didn't do things her way so she gets all cranky. Wah wah wah. I'm no Star fan either, but get over it. By being such a cranky baby Babs has given Star the opportunity to go on every other show and plead her case, meanwhile Babs just looks like a po'd ex-boss and Star smells like a skanky rose.

Star messing with Babs is a career killing move. It won't matter if Star is right or wrong. She is showing she is not a team player. By bucking the network and Babs Star is showing revenge is more important. Star's behavior is showing her true self, and I say good riddance to the Starzilla.

Barbara Walters is a sick twisted women devoid of all reality. She is overracting. Once she teamed up with Rosie O' Skank , who attacked Star for no reason; all bets were off.

Yes, but I suppose in some ways Barbara Walters is both a newswoman (creating her own news) and a marketer at heart.
