Actually The Prix Would Take it. Cars.com specs show 3.8L V-6 pushing 200hp for the GT, and the 2000 MC specs show a 3.4L V-6 pushing 180...

what does it matter, when you think of racing you think of speed, these two cars are like racing a snail against a turtle

The Monte Carlo has a higher gear ratio so it will out accel the Prix, but they do both run the same engine that push out 200hp stock.

I don't know about that but I have a 2000 Grand Prix and I out ran a 2006 mustang and a 2004 mustang no problem. Grand Prix are pretty stout sooo....

Should be pretty close, too close to call. If it was a GTP, then it would win, but otherwise they have the same 3.8 liter engine.

You are comparing the standard engine on one to the optional engine on the other. All things being equal, all things will be equal.

I think they both have the 3800 motor in them in which case too close to call because of weight and distribution, unless one was standard and the other automatic, standard wins the game when all things are equal.

Monte Carlo is FASTER...not by a lot but it would take you off the line.
