the Martians have been doing it for centuries :) Juat Kidding...yeah see the Myth Busters...they did a good episode on that. Or you can visit Calais France...I think they have one that crosses the channel back and forth between France and England.

i built one. worked great on land, but had a huge problem on the water...... i built it very low to the ground and didnt take into consideration waves. well the story ends with it sank.
