He previously played two gay characters, one in a soap opera and one on some prime time series. That's probably why.
I grew up with BJ and he's a good guy. It's sad to see people bash him like this. Maybe they're just jealous.

well, the film makers had to digitally alter his crouch to literally make it look smaller so that children viewers will not be traumatised by the size
