For free you can go to the library and impress the people you are auditioning for with your ability to do a monologue from a play.

Very important: read the whole play before you choose your monologue.

I don't usually do this for free... but what the hell.

Background girl talking to her father, whom she hasn't seen since she was five.

Girl: "I don't see why I have to justify myself. Who are you to ask me about the way I choose to live my life? Where were you when I needed a father? (pause) Do you know what mama used to tell us. She used to tell us that you were dead. (pause) I didn't believe her at first. But I guess she said it so many times... that i had to accept it.

After all these years you show up... and the first thing you do is question how I live. Yes I'm a lesbian.(pause) And yes I'm not ashamed of it. This is who I am. If you have a problem with it.. well (pause) It wouldn't take much for me to go back to thinking you are dead."

Hope you like it!!

The one "The Dude" wrote is a good start - you could develope on that - but really - shouldn't you being doing this yourself - isn't that part of what you are supposed to achieve - Not sure using someone else's work is right or fair - to you or anyone else! If you are serious - then get to work!

Go to the public library and ask the librarian for monologue books for your age.
