It depends on where you purchase your snake and what type of caging you get.
If you get your snake online the cost of the snake will be cheaper(sometimes as low as $15)but the shipping will be added to that. At a pet store you are looking at around $75-100.
At a typical pet store you should be able to walk out with everything you need for less than $200. including the snake, cage..10-20 gal aquarium(which is fine for a young ball)lid, bedding, heat lamp or undertank heater (never use a heating pad or heat rock!!), water dish and hide
You won't need to get food for at least a week. Ball pythons need that time to settle in before offering food. After that , you will probably be paying around $1-2 a week for feeders. Probably changing to rats or 2 mice ($4 a week) as the snake grows.

you can buy a ball on reptileauctions.com or kingsnake.com for as little as 20 bucks plus shipping. pet stores charge around a hundred. you' need a good size tank with locking lid, expect to pay at least 80 bucks. you can buy frozen feeder rats at rodentpro.com real cheap but i like to feed mine live food. one rat every 2 weeks or so. 4 bucks for a rat or 1.50 for a mouse(need 2) so all in all your initial cost is around 150 bucks then only 10 bucks a month for food and supplies.

When I bought my start up set I spent about 300 dollars with the aguarium, the snake, the reptile bark, the water bowl, lighting, heat pad, and decorations. He didn't eat for the first two weeks, so I would let him get aclimated to his new home befor I tried to feed him. The mice cost me about 0.99 everytime I bought one. If you have problems feeding (snake will not eat), i suggest with live mice you wet the mouse first (run sink water over it) and then drop it in the cage! It increases the scent!

depends on how big the python is and how much it costs. it also depends on wat store u go to prices vary
