You should read Karl Marx's book. I read it in 9th grade, and was supprised by how differently it was portrayed. The idea of communism in it's simplest is perfect. Every one has food, clothing, and more than enough to thrive. Communism would be the perfect government if we could find a ruler who wasn't self absorbed and greedy. Unfortunately, that's not how most humans function. (In enland, with the Monarch, Parliment was established to make sure that the King/ Queen wasn't abusing his/her powers, and I bet something similar would function well in a Communist community). Communisim is only condsidered bad or evil because dictators in the past have proven to be bad or evil.

Communism killed more people in the last century than the Fascists ever did. Read the Gulag Archipelligo by Alexandr Solshonitzin, or a Day in the Life if Ivan Denisovich. The road to Serfdom By Friedrik Heyak

It's supposidly supposed to be a better way to live, because everything is equally destributed by the government. Instead it turns out that the government gets more than everyone else, and the people suffer greatly. The government assumes control of the people's lives. It's something that is considered wrong in our society because we prefer to have a say so in our own lives.

communism is not just considered bad it is bad, for primarily this reason, if you asked Karl Marx to briefly define communism this is what he would say: " it is the abolition of private property." now that does not just apply to your "stuff", it applies to your very life, it all becomes property of the state. They view society as superior to the individuals of which it is composed, and believe it is hence justified for society or rather its representatives to decide all aspects of an individuals life for the "greater good". Do not confuse communism as a polar to democracy for it is not it is a system of economics, where the state is given control of the means of production, and there is no money, all produce is then to be divided up amongst the people, in some theories equally however in practice many "projects" are of national or state importance and product is funneled to them "for the benefit" of the state. the polar to communism is capitalism, a system which advocates private control of the means of production, and trade is done voluntarily, the other common economic system, under which the entire globe at present operates is fascism, which is a system where though the means of production is left in the operational control of private entities and there is money, the state is superior to all, and can interfere in economic activity at its will, setting prices, taxing, inflation, setting interest rates, regulating, expropriating, and countless others measures. Democracy is a method of choosing ones rulers, not the rules therein, and you can have a democratic fascist state or communist state. Now as per why its evil, is based on semantics, for the word bad and evil are often treated as synonyms. Evil however tends to carry a religious undertone, and for athiests such as myself, it means very bad or destructive to ones life. the religious community does not like communism because it claims that the state is superior to all includung god, I call them evil because they are destructive to my life for i'd be one of the first ones shot, due to my anti-state mentality.

Read the novel "1984" by Huxley...complete totalitarian society...that is communism...
Its "evil" because its a flawed system that reduces people to nothing more than pawns of a Central Government with no say over their Future..or present.

Because Communism means total government control (totalitarian) this robs people of choice and the ability to become more than what they were born to. For example a poor farmer from Illinois would not be able to become President.

Communism is the best system in the world. It is considered bad because of the Stalinist and what they did in Russia, China, North Korea, Laos, and Cuba.
