• Spray with an all-purpose cleaner and let the liquid be absorbed for an hour at least. Then take a screwdriver with a terrycloth rag wrapped around the pointed end and carefully make several passes along the track to loosen out the stubborn gunk.Use a wire brush to clean off the dirt. I like to keep the vacuum handy. after you loosen it move the vacuum over it it is easier and less messier.

I use greased lightening and a old tooth brush and sponge to wipe up the loosened gunk, then apply a little mineral oil to lubricate the track.

Wire brush and a vaccume cleaner.
Alternatively, add a small amount of water (w/soap if it's oily) until you make a past like slurry. Then sponge it out.

use a small scraper, then spray 409 or another de-greaser, let it sit a few minutes, take an old toothbrush and scrub it a little, then wipe clean.
