this has to be one of the most memorable places that i went to growing up in michigan. we went 2 or 3 times a year. we had a big picnic. we almost fell off the Wild Mouse and loved to ride the train around the park. my great grandmother was alive back then and she enjoyed it too.im going back to michigan in july and i sure whish i could take my kids their. we were kids in the late 60s and early 70s and we loved to dance on the boat to all that fun mo-town sound. thanks for bringing back some good memories.

I remember going to Bob-Lo Island and I went at least six times in my lifetime and it was a great amusement park with fun rides.

I use to go every year, at least a few times.
I always enjoyed the roller coaster Nightmare, I think that is what it was called. It was inside in the dark. At 13 I rode it once with a guy I had the biggest crush on. I see him once in a while and he remembers it too.
I enjoyed the boat ride over there and my grandmother would come with us and tell us her stories about "what use to be" they were always great.
It is amazing how much the cities have change.

Oh my, yes!
That was so long ago, but I remember dancing on the Bob-Lo boat, which seemed to be more fun than the park itself.
They turned the Bob-Lo boat into the Detroit Princess, which is like a mini-cruise ship. (I don't know who would want to cruise the Detroit River, though).
