Now what do you think?????
You know that you didnt bring it to the office when you started working there. Just because it is your last day, doesnt give you the right to take things that you didnt purchase.
Of course it is stealing!

Well, it might not be the most honest thing in the world, but if it was in your office, and that was all that you took, I'm sure that no one will rasie a fuss about it.
Did you leave because you quit, or because you were fired? If you left on good terms, I think you're in the clear. If you left because you were at fault in the situation, you may want to rethink taking the mouse pad. Taking items from your office when you alreafy have a poor relationship with your employers might not be wise.
Either way, I hope that you find another job! Good Luck!

If you take something that you did not buy or was not explicitly given to you through transfer of right of ownership, then you are stealing.
But if it's a really cool mouse-pad you should take it and just find a way to make peace with your tormented conscience.

The key word here is "take". Would it be stealing if you "took" a cool mouse pad from Target?

Well it is, but if they have loads and wouldn't miss it, then try asking if you can have it, people nick pens and paperclips and stuff, but a mouse pad might be something a bit more noticeable.

Get a trac ball mouse. You wont need a pad anymore. It would only be stealing if your boss was nice. If your boss was not nice it isn`t stealing.

Taking anything that does not belong to you including pens, paperclips etc is stealing. But, I have to ask how cool is the mousepad?
