they known him for a long time cuz his dad grow up with them like brothers. they think the guy is great and all but they just don't want him for me. so should i leave him and get my family not to be mad at anymore or be with him

It happens all the time. Its because they want nothing but the best and somtimes it is because they dont want you to be wrong in what you do.
