My Thinkpad 41 goes to sleep when I close the lid. Then most mornings I put it back in the docking station and open the lid and it awakens - I enter ctl-alt-delete and enter password and a new day begins. But about 10-20% of the time the thing doesn't awaken and I have to fiddle with the on-off button to get it to awaken from its suspended mode. And if I hold the on-off a little too long it goes from just completely off to off off which is not great for disk integrity or unsaved data etc. Anyone with insight on T41 suspend mode and its awakening??

Correction: If I hold down the on/off button too long it goes from suspended mode black screen to off/off.

I had same issue with my T41. I switched my "Turn Hard drive off" option to never. Try that and see if that helps..
