If we are so free here in America; Why is it that Yahoo censors us. Yahoo deletes certain answers&questio...
I answered a question a user posed about a revolution in America. My answer was a revolution can only take place through organization and a consensus among the majority. Yahoo feels like they can control the conversation. I understand we are not allowed to sale things. However, we should be able to express ourselves without bigbrother yahoo editing or removing our thoughts. Did yahoo release our records to the government? I guess we know who we can't trust. This is a perfect reason for us all to engage in the conversation that is taking place in Congress regarding Net Neutrality. We do not live in China. Yahoo can not censor us....... UNLESS they are in the pockets of the lobbyist as well as our representation. We the people must stand as one against this invasion..................... I bet this will be removed. If not then Yahoo is "playing games"..........

If you want absolute freedom of speech, you will have to create your own server. Yahoo! does hold the power to delete your messages if they feel like it.

Any time you start talking about revolution, you MUST only speak of it as a "what if" situation. Once you start talking HOW to do it, you become a person of interest to the government. I believe everyone holds several issues against the government. I am definitely included in this. However, if you want to sway masses, and convince people that revolution is needed (beyond your paranoid playground buddies) you have to come up with specific circumstances that require attention. YOU FAILED TO DO THAT. One example would be the "Free Speach Zones" at political campaigning areas. There are actually areas that you have to go to if you wish to speak badly about that particular candidate. I think that is absolute CRAP, and should be done away with.

You must realize that the government is designed to be malleable. If you want things to change, write your lawmakers. Rally for votes to pass a bill. There are legal ways to change the government that require no spilled blood.

I think that I can safely say that you are paranoid. In your worldview, there is no positive outcome. If something bad happens, it's a conspiracy. If something good happens, it's part of an evil plot.

The U.S.A. is not becoming a dictatorship, but it seems to be turning into a theocracy.

Finally, YAHOO! owns the site and therefor YAHOO! has the right to censor.

If Bush has his way, America would become a police state and he will assume the position of dictator! Civil liberties would be trashed. Even our right of free speech would be trashed as well. We, as Americans, have to stand up for our rights! This country will be turning 230 on the Fourth of July, so let's go outside that night and scream, "Let Freedom Ring!" I will not stand for censorship in this country. We were given the right to express ourselves, and to even criticize our government officials. That includes the President, too. And _nobody_ better shut us up, too!

Correct me if I'm wrong, and I may be - but I think when we joined we all agreed to conditions set by Yahoo - they are, after all, a corporation and have to maintain their server to their standards and to the laws of wherever they are based. And it IS theirs server, after all.

You really have no options or recourse other than to stop using Yahoo, or abide by their rules. That, or start your own server.

One last thought - by calling someone a "sheep" and also by calling a Christian a "follower", you also identify yourself as a different kind of "follower". Congratulations.

GO MOVE TO A COMMUNIST COUNTRY LETS SEE YOU GO AROUND AND SAY YOUR THOUGHTS! then you will realize not so bad here!!!

BETTER GO RUN AS PRESIDENT THEN LETS SEE IF YOU CAN TELL PEOPLE WHAT TO DO!! AND WHEN A CRAZY CRIMINAL ESCAPE YOU WILL LET HIM GO Because ACCORDING TO YOUR IDEA HE CAN DO WHATEVER HE WANTS TO DO!!!

WHY SHOULD YAHOO LET YOU DO WHATEVER.... IT IS NOT YOURS.....Read between the lines ... you are a free user ......OPEN YOUR OWN !! you will see you be the first person to be censor !

Everyone else said it best.... they own the site, therefore, they own the right to censor and delete whatever they want. If you don't want to be censored, then you are free to post on another website.... that's your freedom.

I think a web site owner has the authority and responsibility to police the site. If they felt your posting would be harmful to anyone, it's their duty to remove it.

Sorry but it's the old "MY HOUSE, MY RULES" and that is as it should be.

Why doesn't tolerance and diversity include Christians and Jews? Every other religion is accepted.
