I always bring lots of padding (blankets, egg-crate padding) to put on the bottom of the tent cause the ground is never as soft as you want it. If you are driving to this camp site this is never a problem. If you are hiking or canoeing or something, remember that you have to carry every thing you bring.

Bring Chairs. Those newer folding canvas chairs work great.

Can you have a campfire where you are going? Some places have restrictions, and there are always forest fire concerns. But if all is well, you will still need fire wood. Often the plan is to get some from the woods once there. But that is eveyone's plan, and after a while the woods becomes pretty bare. You can't just rip limbs off trees because there is a lot of moisture in a living tree and it won't burn. Again, as long as you are driving to the camp site, you should get a few bundles of dried firewood at some roadside store or something.

As for activities, the fire will work pretty well. Bring a jack-knife and make some pointed sticks to do smores. Hot dogs over the fire can be fun too. As long as you keep a close eye on the youngster, they are usually fascinated by camp fires.

Bring plenty to eat and drink. I always bring a small tarp incase the tent has a leak.

Number 1. Bug spray.. 2. bathroom tissue, 3. plenty of water in case there is no water near you. Don't forget goodies for the kid. 4. A riffle in case a bear shows up, cause they are all around the state USA. Plus we are surrounded by sick people. 5. Don't forget to take a dog, they will be your alarm, if two is better.
6. Make sure you are in big groups and stay together. 7. Don't forget a bible, instead of scary stories, bring the word of God and bring alive. It will be the most pleasant trip you will have if you bring God with you.

You enjoy yourself with your family and have a save camping trip.

p.s. I almost forgot: a plenty full tank of gas in your car.

A star map and binoculars or even a small telescope.

A trail guide to help identify plants.

And some stories to tell around a campfire!

even as outside events are out, I many times examine with my 3 year previous and draw and spell...She likes to study new issues. She likes to pretend now too, so i visit play pretend such as her. She enjoys being picked up extreme, held the different way up, and tickled. even as she receives bored and would't discover something to do, a strong tickle consultation many times perks her proper up. If she nonetheless won't be able to discover something after that, i am going to enable her play in a bubble bath. She LOVES bubbles! she will be able to blow bubbles for an hour. She also loves music and dancing. now and again, if she's bored and refuses to even attempt to do something else, I truly have her %. up all her toys and positioned them away. She "makes strong assisting", so I consistently enable her comprehend how nicely she did and how proud i'm that she helped Mommy freshen up. If no longer something works and he or she starts whining to me, I make her flow to her room and discover something. She is popular with no longer to bother whining to Mommy. i do not positioned up with it. that is complicated to assert what is going to be finished with your new child. He sounds extra lively than mine. i have consistently tried to coach my new child to discover her own events, so she does no longer could position self assurance in others to have interesting. I merely take cues from my daughter and do in spite of she needs to do. She'll change into bored in something, then race to her room and rummage round until eventually something else grabs her interest.
