Life would have some meaning; we'd have to work for everything.
The more technology advances, the further we actually get from one another, the less we value each other, and the less we ponder the consequences of our actions.
If we had to actually wake up in the morning and grow our own food, or make our clothes, or hike or ride a horse to wherever it is we NEEDED to go (because wants and needs would finally be distinguishable and exclusive), we'd acquire the insight to appreciate, which now we severely lack.

We wouldn't have the Internet, instant messaging, email, cell phones, or other things to communicate with each other. Technology has changed our lives significantly over the past several years. If you _really_ wanted to know what would've happened if these things mentioned aforesaid weren't in existence, we would communicate the old-fashioned way by phone or mail. But thanks to the technology we have now, our world is a much smaller place than during our ancestors' days.

Our lives would be boring, harsh and dangerous. Technology is not just high technology. It includes all kinds of machines and methods, like washing machines, bicycles, toothbrushes, toilets, antibiotics, painless dentistry, clothing and countless other everyday things.
