Checks are periodically late in the mail. It happens more than you think. If you do not have the check in three business days, call SSA at 1-800-772-1213.
Consider using direct deposit. It is easy to sign up for and the check is never late. You can also sign up for direct deposit over the phone.

Question
What do I do if I do not receive my Social Security check?
Answer
If you are receiving checks by mail, wait 3 days after the date you normally receive your check. If still not received contact us at 1-800-772-1213. You should also consider receiving future checks by direct deposit.
Follow this guide to determine if your check is late:
Social Security
benefits are paid on If your birth
date is on
Second Wednesday 1 st - 10 th
Third Wednesday 11 th - 20 th
Fourth Wednesday 21 st - 31st
All Social Security beneficiaries receiving benefits prior to May, 1997 will continue to receive benefits on the 3rd. See our schedule of check payment dates for 2006.
If you normally receive your check by direct deposit to your bank, report a non receipt of payment immediately to 1-800-772-1213. People who are deaf or hard of hearing may call our toll-free

Sounds like you've been disconnected. Why didn't you call Social Security in the first place instead of coming here to Q&A?
