just wanted to know how people feel about God. did he create us? or did we create him, because of a need to be spiritual? to explain the unexplainable?

I don't Know...Does it matter? I sometimes belief there is a God but is that just to satisfied my personal need at the time, or is it because I truly feel there is a higher power? I don't know if god created us...something did either God or something that ca be explained scientifically I am just happy to be here and enjoying life and all its wonders. whether made by God or just pure nature I love it and am glad to have the opportunity to enjoy it.

Look at the Hubble deep field photos, then consider that all those billiions of galaxies are made of the same few subatomic particles. The largest whale and the smallest bacterium have the same few particles. It is inconceivable that the universe just sprang into being, yet it is also inconceivable that before there was anything else, there was a conscious being and that it created everything we know. Somehow it is a little less inconceivable to assume that there was a consciousness, but then we have to wonder where the consciousness came from.

I don't personally believe that we were created whole. Isn't it a lot more wonderful to create something that can evolve and grow than to create something static? It would be like making a sundial and having it evolve into a clock radio or Big Ben or making a simple stool and having it evolve into a Barcolounger without further input from us.

I think we created our image of God and we definitely created the various religions -- all of which were appropriate for the time and place where they came into being -- but we are each an aspect of God, as is all of the universe. Every bug and every galaxy is God. The original consciousness created everything from its own thoughts. So, perhaps we are God's daydream or novel. I am looking forward to finding out. Perhaps we find out when we die or perhaps we will discover the answers in the "real" world. In any case, it is a wonderful mystery.

When people created an idea of god they made it look and feel like themselves, or the creatures existing around us were sometime copied to present the character. When God was introduced through messengers only qualities were described and physical aspect was left out.

I do very much believe in God. That is, of course, my personal opinion. As for explaining him, I don't think there is a way to do that. I once read a saying, and I'm not sure if it is a bible verse or not, but it said: "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen". I try to remember that when I have doubts about God, that we just have to have faith. Not everything is explainable. We don't see the wind, or the air, but that doesn't mean it's not there. That's just my two cents.

You are exactly right. Primitive man created the concept of a god to explain not merely the processes of nature, but also the harsh realities of the human condition.

God is a belief. There are only biblical accounts of people interacting with God. The other question are purely what you believe to be the case. If you have a need to believe then you will.

There is a Creator, I feel certain of that. But, I also feel certain that the Deity is so far beyond us that he can't be understood by us; that's why I think all forms of worship that express joy in God's creation, and gratitude for our excellent world, are right and just in the Deity's eyes.

god can only exist on an individual to individual basis. anything that is strongly believed becomes true to the one who thinks it. so the existence of a god is created. that's why i personally don't believe in organized religion. it's putting structure and rules to something that should be free floating.

Thou art God.

God is not some supernatural entity. God is the good and the hope that lives in us. Every time you do a decent disinterested thing, that is God.

there is a God and because people need to believe in a creator there are several forms of divinity, but in reality exists only one single God
