I consider Conny a Girl's Name.

It can be both. If his name is Conrad or Connor this could be a nickname. Usually a girl named Conny would spell it with an ie at the end but her parents may have chosen a different spelling.

I think that you'd be surprised at all the male and female names that "Conny" or "Connie" is short for. Look in a baby-name book.

If someone were to be talking about someone named Conny & it wasn't made clear if they were a boy or a girl, I would assume it was a girl. Does that answer your question?

I have a male friend who's name is Conner who goes by Conny and I have several female frends whos names are Connie.

So both ways, Just like Payton/Peyton, Tracy, Lee/Leigh
