Uh, yeah. We're the butt of everyone's alcohol jokes.

However, do we care about these insults? Heck no, we were them as a badge of honor and raise a glass to the insulter!

My mum's Irish and I think the Irish have a magic to them. She's not insluted by Irish jokes at all. She says for every joke you can tell about the irish there are 10 more for the Scots or the Welsh and 20 for the English. I'm half Irish English and I'm not insulted by English or Irish jokes.

Beautiful, Intelligent, and a fantastic lyricist take Phil Lynot, Beautiful poet fantastic singer. The Irish are a fine, upstanding people.Don't let anyone tell you different. Go there, be with them, enjoy their hospitality. Use your own judgement.

Yes - by us nasty Brits. Here's one for the Irish to use to get their own back:

Three Englishmen enter a pub in which an Irishman is drinking alone. They decide to provoke a fight. The first Englshman goes to see the Irishman and says:

"Hey Paddy, I've heard your Saint Patrick was a bastard"

But the Irishman does not answer at all. The Englishman goes back to his friends, a bit puzzled. The second says "well' I'll try again", goes to the Irishman and says:

"Hey Paddy, I've heard your Saint Patrick was a queer"

But the Irishman doesn't even look at him. So the third Englishman says "well I know something that will make him react." He goes to the Irishman and says:

"Hey Paddy, I've heard your Saint Patrick was ENGLISH"

The Irishman looks at him and says :

"yes, that's what your two friends were saying."

I am half Irish and German and I go to the Ocktober fest every year. They sing the Irish drinking song, but I don't care. Make all the jokes you want about Irish people and I wouldn't care because we are who we are.

Oh yes! Apparently I'm a joke, an alcoholic, I have a pot of gold, I know riverdance, I only drink Guinness and Jameson, I live in a thatched cottage surrounded by sheep and donkeys in the middle of nowhere, and I'm violent, all before you get to know me.

Ah stereotypes!

Everyone gets insulted for what/who they are. If you arent the same as someone (or a group of people) then they will make fun of you.
